Plesanton Independent School District issued the following announcement.
Dear Pleasanton ISD Families,
We continue to actively monitor developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) in conjunction with local and state public health officials, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Therefore, and because of the rapidly evolving nature of this situation and out of an abundance of caution, Pleasanton ISD is joining other San Antonio area districts in extending our closure of campus classrooms through Friday, April 24.
In the meantime, we will continue to offer curbside meals for our students for breakfast and lunch at Pleasanton Junior High, St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and at the intersection of 7th and Trade Street.
The county locations are the Ata/Bexar Fire Station on Old Pleasanton Road, Sacred Heart Church in Campbellton and in Leming at the Atascosa County Annex and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Please refer to the website or Facebook for times. Our teachers and instructional specialists remain committed to providing high-quality instruction through online platforms like Google Classroom. We will continue to distribute technology devices to Pleasanton families, as needed, to allow students to engage in this online instruction.
We will continue to provide regular updates on our website, social media channels, and through our email, phone and textmessaging systems. During this unprecedented time, we want you to know that our students’ safety and well-being are our top priorities. We understand that these developments have put a strain on your family.
We continue to be committed to educating your children. We will get through this by working together. Thank you for your patience and understanding and for your support of Pleasanton schools.
