CITY OF DEL RIO: Thirteenth Covid-19 Case Confirmed in Val Verde County

City of Del Rio issued the following announcement on April 26.

The Val Verde County Public Health Authority has confirmed the thirteenth case of COVID-19 in Val Verde County. The case is considered to be community spread related. The patient is in the recovery phase and remains under quarantine. Eleven of the previous COVID-19 cases in our county have recovered.

Previous State confirmed cases in Val Verde County at a glance:

March 24, 2020- 1st confirmed case – international travel related

March 26, 2020- 2nd confirmed case – international travel related

March 27, 2020 – 3rd confirmed case – community spread related

March 27, 2020- 4th confirmed case – international travel related

March 28, 2020- 5th confirmed case – travel related within the US - re-tested positive

April 6, 2020

April 6, 2020- 6th confirmed case – travel related within the US

April 8, 2020 – 7th confirmed case – international travel related

April 10, 2020 – 8th confirmed case- community spread related

April 10, 2020- 9th confirmed case – travel related within the US

April 11, 2020- 10th confirmed case- community spread related

April 12, 2020- 11th confirmed case- community spread related

April 12, 2020- 12th confirmed case- community spread related

It is imperative that our community remains home if they are able.

If you feel you have been exposed or have any of the following signs and symptoms of this virus, please contact the Val Verde Regional Medical Center Nurse Advice line at 844-432-5391, with any questions regarding your symptoms. Listen to the entire message and if you have not been answered, stay on the line to speak with a live nurse. 

Signs and Symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure City, County and VVRMC officials are united in sharing all updates and information to keep our community safe.
