Alamo Colleges issued the following announcement.
The Alamo Colleges District is the only two-year institution to be recognized by Campus Labs with the Rising Star award.
The district was selected as a result of its successful implementation of the Engage tool (a student engagement product from Campus Labs) as part of AlamoEXPERIENCE, the district’s online non-academic transcript platform.
The AlamoEXPERIENCE platforms allows students to connect to meaningful and guided opportunities, manage and track involvement and showcase their student experience via the AlamoEXPERIENCE transcript. This record of a student’s involvement in campus organizations, volunteering and internships is a valuable asset when students enter the job market.
“This honor reflects the importance of district-wide collaboration,” said Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores. “Representatives from the colleges’ Student Life teams and the office of the vice chancellor for student success, Dr. Adelina Silva, along with IT and communications have provided the collaborative leadership and support that has made AlamoEXPERIENCE a valuable contribution to our students’ success. This recognition aligns with our vision of being the best in the nation in student success and performance excellence,” he added.
The Rising Star is awarded to higher education institutions that, within one year of implementing their Campus Labs tool(s), have already shown they're on a unique and promising path to sustainable success.
