In the era of the coronavirus pandemic, medical professionals across various specifications and areas of training are more in demand than ever.
The City of Eagle Pass has approved the Medical Workforce Program. This program plans to accept 40-50 individuals hoping to gain training in areas spanning Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Dialysis Technician, and Community Health Worker. To deliver this platform to individuals in the community, the city is collaborating with the Southwest Texas Junior College.
To provide an incentive to individuals looking to gain training in medical fields, the city is offering this training for free with city-sponsored funds.
The requirement is that you pass the pre-assessment test, as mandated by the city. Those that want to learn more about the program and gaining medical training through the city-sponsored program can do so here.
