There were 2,042 students enrolled in Pearsall ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.4% of them were boys, and 48.6% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 94.3% of the Pearsall ISD total enrollment.

Pearsall ISD roughly covers schools within Frio County with its main office in Pearsall.

Among the five schools in Pearsall ISD, Pearsall High School recorded the highest enrollment of 607 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
