There were 64 white students enrolled in Carrizo Springs CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 9.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Carrizo Springs CISD schools welcomed 1,903 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 3.4% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Carrizo Springs CISD roughly covers schools within Dimmit County and has a main office in Carrizo Springs.

Among the four schools in Carrizo Springs CISD schools, Carrizo Springs High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 27 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
