Atascosa County has implemented new guidelines amid the emergency declaration concerning COVID-19, according to Pleasanton Express.

The preference is for business to be completed online, via phone, or postponed until the county is back in a safe zone.

Documents from the county office can be downloaded online, and those who need to request documents in person can so in advance before picking them up, in order to minimize in-person interaction and continue social distancing.

The Atascosa County Tax Office has followed suit as the lobby is not open to customers. However, drive-thru access is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Customers are encouraged to make any payments needed online.

If going into an office is a must, people are urged to not bring extra people will them, as they won’t be permitted to come inside the office.

Any inquiries about an office can be answered over the phone.

A coronavirus hotline is also accessible for new information about COVID-19 and how residents might be impacted. The hotline can be reached at 830-770-8025. If there is a busy signal, call 830-770-8026 and 830-770-8028, respectively.
