Charlotte ISD Education: 397 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 397 students enrolled in Charlotte ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.1% of them were boys, and 46.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 87.2% of the Charlotte ISD total enrollment.

Charlotte ISD roughly covers schools within Atascosa County with its main office in Charlotte.

Among the three schools in Charlotte ISD, Charlotte Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 170 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
